ABOUT ME
Personal Statement:
My personal journey has been a culmination of the many paths that I have explored so far in achieving my own self-efficacy. My growth and development towards self-awareness has allowed for personal enrichment, and also for me to have a greater vision of myself. The broader perspective of who I am has allowed me to gain more clarity with regard to my purpose, which is enlightenment through service.
Thus far I have enjoyed a rewarding career as a registered nurse, which progressed to me becoming a nurse practitioner. I gained an understanding that physical health is one component of total health, which led me to pursue a career as a psychologist. It was during my course of study to achieve my doctorate in psychology, that I gained greater insight into understanding that we are much more than biological beings. The study of psychology has broadened my knowledge of the psycho-social aspects of the individuals that I provide services to, and it has given me insight on how to best address the unique needs of individuals.
My career as an advanced practice nurse allows me to incorporate physical methodologies, and my formal training in psychology allows me to address needs that transcend the physical. As an interfaith minister, I have gained an even more comprehensive bio-psycho-spiritual approach to serving.
My Motto: Aim for the sky and enjoy every step of your journey, all of the little steps make your sacred journey complete!
